Lone B’not Sherut/lone national service

At the Michael Levin Base, we are deeply committed to supporting Israel’s Lone B’not Sherut through every stage of their service.

These young women are carrying out National Service without the close support of their families. In doing so, they dedicate themselves to meaningful work across the country, often far from their homes and support networks. Our role at the Michael Levin Base is to ensure that they have the resources, care, and sense of community they need to thrive.

We provide comprehensive emotional support, regularly visiting them at their workplaces and apartments, and offering a constant open-door policy where they can turn to us for guidance, encouragement, or just a listening ear.

Our weekly events, lunches, and Shabbat meals foster a strong sense of connection, giving them a home-away-from-home atmosphere.

In addition to emotional and social support, we assist them with practical essentials for their apartments, such as kitchen appliances, blankets, and toiletries, easing their transition into independent living.

Our involvement begins before their service starts, continues throughout, and even extends after they finish, ensuring that these lone national service participants always have a place to turn for help and support. By investing in their well-being, we empower these remarkable young women to focus on their service and contribute meaningfully to Israeli society, knowing they are seen, valued, and cared for.
